"Please don't leave me here...I don't want to die." - emergency relocation appeal 10th may 2021

Dear friends,

My heart broke last week when I heard one of our girls utter these words. A single mum, with a 1 year old son and no family to support her, she considers The Liberty Project her family and home. As I have journeyed with Lucia* for the past one and half years, she has come to know and follow Jesus and become family to me as well.

Friends, I need your help. The situation in Pemba has reached desperation point and we have to leave. I don’t know how to adequately communicate just how serious this situation is; it really is becoming a situation of life and death.

ministry relocation - press release 5TH may 2021

The Liberty Project is re-locating from Pemba, Cabo Delgado Provence to Nacala City, Nampila Provence for an interim period, in response to the growing conflict and risk of occupation. Our ministry remains committed to serving the marginalised and displaced in Northern Mozambique.

This decision, made by our Board of Directors, has come from both seeking God’s direction for the ministry in response to the current state of conflict in Cabo Delgado and professional security advice.
